Ceramic Tile Workshop

Students will learn the basic method of  painting on ceramic tiles using the natural colors.



The first handmade ceramic tile dates back to the 14000 BC with developments to the technique that took place throughout the history until the last century. Today they are used in decorating mosques, building interiors, furniture and more.

Students get to see the skyline of old Dubai and picture it with their own hand-sketch drawings.


Wearable Art Workshop

Students arrive at ACF and takes a walk through the exhibition rooms and gets the sensation of being Artsy.

While the students get inspired by our gallery artworks, they get to express their own art through a shirt and paint.


Heritage Storytelling Workshop

Students get to hear about folk and historical tales from the Arabian Gulf to give local and expatriate students - a taste of traditional life in the UAE.

The Storyteller - Professor Idris Mears is an educational consultant, expert in the religion and culture of Islam and the Muslim World.


Cultural Awareness Workshop

In our Cultural Awareness workshops, our resident historian and storyteller, Prof. Idris Mears, uses intriguing facts, enlightening anecdotes and entertaining stories to engage students with the rich legacy of the two strands of Emirati tradition: the sea with its ports and the desert with its oases.


Al Fahidi School Tours

In collaboration with Dubai Culture and Sheikh Mohammed Cultural Center, we offer a tour of the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, along with workshops, fun activities, food and beverages.


School Art Conferences

Alserkal Cultural Foundation conducts conferences for primary and secondary school students to help them read and understand Contemporary Art.
